construction workers restoring a historical monument in jaipur

Its really been a long time since I blogged last. For some of you who have known me for a while and have read my eccentric writings :) thank you for your patience! I enjoy writing, I always have, but I am not diligent at it and I slack off. Starting again with some encouragement. Lets all hope (or not!) that I shall SUSTAIN it! :)

Life has come a long way from GMAT prep, visiting schools, talking to people about WHY MBA, to interviewing, quitting work and coming back to school as a penniless student. :) Life has never been better! I recommend BACK TO SCHOOL to get your MBA to everyone who feels bored, jaded, aimless or confused! :) It will make you MORE confused for sure, but there will be no boredom or jadedness! :) I can assure you that there will be a constant feeling of “being out of your comfort zone” and there will be days that you will not want to wake up and face the world! :) But thats perfectly FINE! :) Because after that one day you will be back on ur feet and into unknown territory.

I make getting an MBA degree sound ‘mystical’. I am almost done with my first year and it has been a interesting journey for me! (feel free to mail me about the mba app process or any other qns.. but DO NOT ask me if your profile will get u an admit or which schools shud u choose. I do not know :) )

From homeworks to papers to presentations to group dynamics to class participation and most importantly NETWORKING!! it has been a crazy year that has taught me a lot! :) I used to wonder if I could talk the MBA lingo.. and trust me.. thats what you sign up for ! How not to give a straight answer but lace it with a lot of BS about really nothing and make it sound pretty!! Am I still a fan?? YES.. :) It has given me the power of being the ‘MBA student’ who wants information, wants to learn, wants to observe, wants to interact, wants to network and the rest of the world will allow it! It would be much more difficult for a person on the street to start a conversation about why you are eating a brand of yogurt over another, but for me?? it is an MBA project question! :) Ha!

The three letter word gives credibility to the person you are trying to be. It gives you the support you need when you venture out of your comfort zone.It makes you a part of a community of movers and shakers, all doing amazing things.

Things are not always pleasant and there might be a lot of whining and ranting about the amount of work or the proportion of research and it all comes down to… what do you want to take out of this MBA?

I am still struggling to answer that, along with what do I want to do with my life and other such profound questions that crowd my overworked brain! :) So stay tuned for more.. and in the meantime leave me a comment and say hi! :)

p.s: the pic is from my travels in india.. to me.. the person at the door is looking at all the possibilities there are! :) (haha! I should stop now!) cya

Great post! Glad to hear your MBA is going well. I’d love to hear more about the NGO you are working with this summer in India. What type of work are you interested in? Also, what did you do before you got your MBA, work wise?

Send me an email if you want to chat!

P.S. thanks for including me in your blogroll :-)
